Hi. I'm Paul of Poor Man Protein, and I'm here to bring you healthy, cheap, and easy recipes that will leave your brain, body, and bank account feeling their best. The goal of this website is to not only provide you with great ways to fuel your body, but to also provide education on nutrition, cooking science, and positive lifestyle habits.
I first got into cooking about 2 years ago in college, when I found that exploring in the kitchen was a great way for me to run my own small experiments every day. I became extremely interested in tweaking recipes with each time I cook, isolating different variables in my food to find out my preferred way to make a dish.
I soon discovered I liked to also do research into ways to make ourselves function better, like prioritizing exercise, sleep, and (the main focus of this website) diet. Making healthy meals, snacks, and desserts is my bread and butter (🥁), and one of my favorite pastimes. My goal here is to provide you with recipes that are simple, cheap, healthy, and yet still taste great. These recipes were developed as a busy college student on a budget and now full time worker.
