Description
Clam sauce always makes me think of Fridays and Christmas time, and this recipe is the perfect way to satisfy these memories in a healthy way. It has some healthy fats in extra virgin olive oil, but isn't a total calorie bomb like most recipes. This goes great over some pasta or spaghetti squash, so check out my Spaghetti Squash Cooked 3 Ways to learn how to make this simple vegetable

Pictures: Shown
  1. In a medium saucepot, saute oil and garlic over medium heat for a few minutes, until fragrant

  2. For clams, I use 3 6.5oz cans of minced clams, and I don't drain or rinse the can. Just add the whole can as is

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer on medium low for about half an hour, covered. Stir occasionally

  4. Serve with pasta (1 lb) or spagetti squash (whole squash)
