Description
I'm not lying when I say this may be the best chocolate milkshake I've ever tasted; healthy or not. This is spot on to a sweet and delicious chocolate milkshake, but it's vegan, gluten free, and sugar free. This glass contains 14 g of protein and 19 g of fiber, and is a good source of B vitamins like thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), and folate (B9), as well as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and manganese

  1. Add all ingredients to a small food processor, and blend until smooth. Transfer to a glass to drink as a milkshake

  2. Here are some ingredient swaps if you desire:
    • Any cooked beans will work. I only used navy here because it was what I had in my fridge at the time. Chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, etc. will all work
    • I've used raisins here as my natural sweetener, but any unsweetened dried fruit (like dates or figs) would work as well
    • Either unsweetened vanilla or unsweetened original almond milk are good, as well as any other non-dairy or dairy based milks
    • Liqud stevia will also work in place of liquid monk fruit
    • For a vanilla milkshake, omit the cocoa powder, and use a light colored bean (like navy or chickpea)

  3. You can also pour it into an airtight container and freeze it to get ice cream. Freeze for about 4 hours, mixing every hour or so with a spoon to break up ice crystals. Let sit out for about 20 minutes to soften before eating. I prefer the milkshake, as the "ice cream" is more like a chocolate ice, but it's still very good
