Without the fat of the cream and carbs of the sugar, this vegan and sugar free whipped cream alternative has practically 0 calories per serving. It tastes just like the real deal though - sweet, fluffy, airy, and no taste of beans. This recipe makes a little over 6 cups (245 g) of whipped cream

- 3/4 cup, liquid from 15.5oz can chickpeas Aquafaba
- 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Granulated monk fruit
Instructions
Cook Mode Off: Prevents screen dimming
- Drain your can of chickpeas using a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Add the aquafaba (chickpea water) to a large bowl with lemon juice. Beat on high for about 5 minutes, until stiff peaks
- Add in the vanilla and sweetener, and beat for another 2 minutes to combine. Use as you would whipped cream, like to top my Banana No-Cream Pie
- Per 1 cup (40 g) of whipped cream, this homemade version has just 30 calories instead of the standard 260. My healthier version also has a negligible amount of fat and carbs, compared to 22 g of fat and 8 g of added sugar in typical whipped cream
