Description
Peanut butter pie is a classic Christmas stable, but it's filled with tons of unhealthy fats and sugars, making it super calorie dense. This recipe boosts the protein content while cutting back on the sugar and fat, but still keeping that great flavor, while also being dairy free. It combines a Homemade Graham Cracker Pie Crust with the peanut butter and banana filling that you'll love. If you have a peanut allergy, just swap out the peanut butter and powdered peanut butter for almond butter and powdered almond butter

  1. Prepare your homemade pie crust according to the recipe. My standard Healthier Pie Crust is a regular graham craham cracker pie crust, though you can make it chocolate by using Chocolate Graham Crackers. Alternatively, you can also use any storebought pie crust if you prefer.

  2. Mash your bananas with the back of a fork in a large bowl. Combine together the rest of the filling ingredients with a silicone spatula until fully combined

  3. Transfer the mixture into the crust, smoothing the top with a silicone spatula. Optionally, top with chocolate chips (1/4 cup, 60g), or here I used a crumbled chocolate chip cookie

  4. Chill in the fridge for about 4 hours before slicing
