Description
Graham cracker crusts are staples of most pies, and typically made out of graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sometimes additional sugar. Instead, I'm replacing store-bought crackers with my own Gluten Free Graham Crackers, and subbing out the butter for unsweetened applesauce. The result is a very similar crust with a fraction of the fat, sugar, and calories

Ingredients
Serving(s)
- 1 full batch, about 2.5 cups Gluten free graham crackers
- 3 tbsp Unsweetened applesauce
Instructions
Cook Mode Off: Prevents screen dimming
- Blend graham crackers in a food processor until you have a fine crumb. Blend in the applesauce. The dough should look too dry, but just come together with pressed with your hands
- Transfer to an 8" circular pan, and use a measuring cup to evenly press into the bottom and sides
- Blind bake the pie crust at 350F for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on the edges. Let cool completely before filling
- The pie pictured in the thumbnail is just this healthy pie crust filled with my Date Sweetened Frosting for a creamy, sweet, and delicious no bake pie!
